What do i do with my old mobile & why is it important ?
When most people get a new phone, the old one is automatically relegated to the wardrobe or bottom drawer - as a just in case scenario. This is fine until the moment that you need it & the battery fails due to the long period of inactivity, then you're reluctant to buy a new battery because of the cost ! Does this sound like a familiar situation ?
As a general rule, it is probably better to trade it in when you buy your new phone - if you can get £30 for it, then it's better than nothing. Some stores deal with trade-in's & some don't - so it's a good idea to check first. Stores that don't are generally wary of stolen phones being passed on to them; so in some cases it can be a good thing.
Another option is to pass it on to a member of your family or indeed a friend. That is unless the old model was embarrasing enough the first time around without expecting to put someone else through the same humiliation - although the choice is your's as they say !
Charity shops are a good option. They will gladly take them off your hands & at least you can leave it behind & have a clear conscience that you are 'doing your bit' for the better of others !
On this page you'll find a selection of relevent links to other websites that will happily help you to dispose of that old mobile & maybe even put it to a good cause ! |
