Nokia 6680 Review
Nokia's first bash at a 3G mobile phone wasn't too hot - the 6630 was ugly, riddled with bugs and lastly (as if that wasn't enough) it wasn't a 'true' 3G mobile. However, Nokia have been back to the drawing board and managed to come up with a good looking, capable and bug-free replacement - The 6680 !
From the outside, the 6680 is a square-jawed 'don't mess with me' looking handset that exudes a business like feel - Far from the 6630 which looked gimmicky and plain ugly - Have we mentioned that already ?
One thing that you can't help but notice when you pick up the 6680 is the forwards facing camera. This is for video calls and enables the person you're speaking to , to see you - So make sure you're lookin' good before trying it out !
The rear camera is a 1.3 megapixel affair - it takes great photos (as you would expect) and shoots video too. Images etc can be downloaded easily to your P.C via Bluetooth or USB and you can get pictures printed and sent to your door via Kodak...Cool ! Alternatively, and probably easier is the ability to print your own pictures instantly via XpressPrint which lets you print your images directly on any PictBridge-enabled printer...Even cooler !!
We mentioned before that the Nokia 6680 was more business like than the previous ugly 6630 and it does feature some office orientated tools. There’s QuickOffice to view Word, Excel and PowerPoint files and a comprehensive
suite of imaging and video editing applications - Which should be enough for most mortals.
