Silver Samsung D500 Limited Edition Review
The Samsung D500 is a fabulous mobile phone & has been selling in huge quantites since late 2004. Now however, Samsung have released a very limited edition silver version.
The original D500 looked pretty damn good - but the silver variation really does go one better. The screen insert & keypad are a darker silver, making a nice contrast to the rest of the body. Whilst the outer volume control keys are polished chrome - all in all, very very cool !!!
The slide mechanism is ultra-smooth and once opened, brings the handset to life. With it's large vivid display & easy to use menu system - you'll be flirting through the phone in minutes without constantly reffering to the manual. As you would expect, the D500 uses an iconic menu that you navigate with the central 5-way navigation key. Upon selected option, you are taken through to text based sub-options, again controlled by the central key. All straight forwards stuff !
The D500 has a 1.3 Mega-pixel camera which offers superb picture & video capabilities - Also you don't have to worry about how much video footage or how many pictues you have taken either, as the D500 has a massive 96Mb of internal memory. To put this into perspective, that equates to 1,000 one-megapixel pictures, or up to 60 minutes of video/speech recording, or
up to 20 MP3 songs - truly impressive !

Use
The D500 is so easy to use - you don't really need a manual !
Navigation is easy with the central
navigation key and it allows easy access to the main features.
Main features include - Call records - Phonebook - Applications - File manager - Messages - Browser - Calendar - Camera & Settings. From each of these you access the sub-menu system.
There are short-cut keys too, for instance - from the main menu you can just push the central key upwards and it takes you straight to the MP3 player - By pressing downwards, takes you straight to the bluetooth options etc.
