| Mobile Phone turns 40 today |
| The mobile phone has officially turned 40 today with the first ever phone call being made on the 3rd April 1973 by martin Cooper a Motorola engineer.
The handset in question was the Motorola DynaTAC. The handset measured 9 inches and had a recharge period of 10 hours. How things have changed....
It is now estimated that there are 7 billion devices being used around the world. users have been given the technology at their fingertips now being able to check emails, use maps and visit social networking websites.
So from 40 years ago today it's safe to say that the mobile phone has changed everyones lives. | | | |
