At first glane the Orange 5140i may appear to be exactly the same as the previous 5140 model. However upon closer inspection, it has been improved somewhat in areas that were sadly lacking before. Externally, it's exactly the same, so don't expect any differences in the cosmetic department. However, inside things are slightly different than before.

For a start, the 5140i has better screen resolution - an area that was incredibly poor in the old model. Screen size remains the same, which is a shame but at least you can see it this time ! Mp3 ringtones also feature now on the Orange 5140i & the FM radio user interface has been updated too. Other changes mainly relate to software updates such as the ability now to have 'themes', flash messages, user-selectable standy-by mode & improved java applications etc.

Other than that, the Nokia 5140i is as it was before, tough & durable and intended for hard use & outside conditions.
