The Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S I9000 Spica lets you dive into a world of apps - over 30,000 of them. It also gives you the power to shoot full HD video and photos with its 5 megapixel camera. And if you love being online but hate the wait,the speed of your Galaxy S will wow you.

The 4 inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen can display up to 16M colours within a pixel layout of 480x 800 pixels. This results in stunningly high quality display of on screen images. An accelerometer sensor is built into the handset which automatically rotates the on screen image dependent upon the orientation of the phone. This means is that it can be viewed in both portrait and landscape which is ideal for viewing video files.

The five mega pixel digital camera takes excellent quality snapshots thanks to a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944. A number of image enhancing features simplifies the task of taking quality photos. These include Autofocus, touch focus and face & smile detection as well as geo-tagging which uses GPS to record the location at which a photo was taken. The camera can also shoot high quality video in 720p at a rate of 30 frames per second along with a secondary video shooting in VGA quality.

In order to provide the Samsung i9000 Galaxy with optimum connectivity levels, a number of features are utilised. In order to stay connected to cellular networks, class 12 versions of both EDGE & GPRS are utilised. Connection to the Internet is provided by both Wi-Fi and 3G. In areas covered by 3G, an HSDPA connection provides speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (alongside HSUPA at 5.76 mega bytes per second). Whenever a signal is detected from a wireless Internet router, Wi-Fi takes advantage of this providing users with a much faster connection, and therefore enhanced web browsing experience. In order to connect the Samsung Galaxy S to a computer, a micro USB connection is provided. This allows a number of tasks to be carried out such as transferring media files and backing up contact information.
