In areas covered by 3G, an HSDPA connection provides speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (alongside HSUPA at 5.76 mega bytes per second). Whenever a signal is detected from a wireless Internet router, Wi-Fi takes advantage of this providing users with a much faster connection, and therefore enhanced web browsing experience. In order to connect the Samsung Galaxy S to a computer, a micro USB connection is provided. This allows a number of tasks to be carried out such as transferring media files and backing up contact information.
