The 3rd mobile phone to carry the new Soul name is the Samsung U800 Soul b - the "b" referring to the bar style of the handset as opposed to clamshell and sliding handsets.
Unlike the previous U900 & G400 models though the SGH-U800 Soulb does not have a 5 megapixel camera nor the funky touch sensitive interface. At just 9.9mm thick though, there has to be a compromise somewhere along the line and it weighs a mere 89g.
It has a brushed steel body and a nice large 2" display with well spaced keys. The user interface is the new version that's used in the U900 and is fantastic to use.
Memory is a generous 1Gb that's expandable via microSD and it does have a 3 megapixel camera that's more than enough for most users. There is a secondary front facing camera for 3G video calls & because the U800 is a 3G handset you can guarantee fast broadband browsing & download speeds.
Other features include FM radio, multimedia player, bluetooth and much more.
The Samsung U800 Soul b will be available SIM Free and on O2, Orange, Vodafone & T-Mobile.
