"Whatever the technical attributes of the LG A140 mobile phone, the supplied written instructions are, alas, extremely poor. There is no proper indexed instruction booklet, but instead a folded sheet of badly arranged and sketchy notes, containing some errors and undefined terms.
These instructions would be inadequate for someone new to mobile phones. I have had a little experience, having used a company issued phone that had a comprehensive instruction manual. Without this experience, I would not have been able to half-guess how some of the essential parts of the LG A140 worked when its buttons were prodded. Even so, I found the instructions so deficient that I nearly took the phone back to the shop in disgust for a refund!

"Bought one as a gift Dec. 2010 ------- guide is fairly useless------- says usb cable "available as an accessory" is required to download photos to computer --- the LG site does not seem to list one and a web shop offers one at £7.95 but with proviso that will need to find a driver "somewhere on the internet" ---- its going back and will not buy LG anything in future."

"I needed a simple phone. This does the job but the instructions are useless. The type size is very small, & there is no function to increase it, as are the screen symbols. Apart from this I think the phone is great for my use now that I have been shown how to do everything I need."
