"A beautiful piece of kit to look at but takes some time to get your head round the way it works. Not always intuitive and you will find yourself reaching for the manual. Some aspects will annoy you I am sure, but the overiding feeling is that you have made the right decision. People are astonished by the interface and the fun in using it. I have had mine for five days and am really pleased. See it, try it and you will buy it!"

"Having seen (and discounted) the iphone I was excited about the arrival of the F700 and advance ordered one as an upgrade from Vodafone. Out of the box first impressions were good - nice look and feel but it has been all down-hill from there. 1. The interface for applications (not phone or text) is good, cool and funcky and you'll soon be diving through the tactile interface with speed. 2. Sending texts and making calls however is a pain in the b**t as finding contacts in the phone book is not quick and easy. For example with my nokia E61 I hit the phone book, start typing a name and all matches immediately appear. With the F700 (words almost fail me at this point!) you follow the following steps: i) press the screen activate button (probably also unlocking the screen first as leaving it unlocked is not wise). ii)at this point you press the 'numeric' touch button(main screen) and dial a number in (quickest if you know the number) or select the phone book item which presents you with a search box and the top few entries of your phone book. iii) a few options now to find the right person a) flick down the list with your finger until you find the right person (initially looked cool but is really slow) b) touch the search box and use the touch screen keyboard to enter a search string (unfortunately this does not do substring search so if you are looking for John Smith and you type John it wont work)then touch the tick box which takes you back to the call screen. If the name you want is shown you touch it and can press call if not you can flick up or down the list or go back and re-enter another search string. This whole process has to be experienced before you believe how bad it is!!! Sending texts has the same associated trauma, finding the person you want to text in you phone book is incredibly painful. Once you are in a call the screen locks so that you don't trigger anything on the touch screen with your face. This means that to end a call you have to press the screen activate button and then touch the 'tiny' end call button. The problems experienced thus far are that the screen doesn't always seem to reactivate when you touch the button so in the worst case it took about 15 seconds to end a call. Everything not associated with calls and texts works well which, if it were aimed at being a multi-media device it would be good, the full keyboard is great for web browsing and the touch screen works well. "I like the phone but the look of it isn't as sleek as previous samsung mobiles and it is for this reason i still opted for the iphone over the samsung F700!"

"My friend has one, and I was messing around with it, and it took me about 5 minutes to get used to. So I fell in love with it and I REALLY WANT ONE......... it's not as fiddly as it seems at first, it's a bit chunky but it's worth it. Before I could investigate fuirther into the buttons and functions they nabbed it off me and well that was that hah hah..."

"This phone is amazing; I honestly loved it as soon as I saw it in my local vodafone shop. I just had to have it, I got an amazing deal on the phone to, paying only £25 a month for unlimited texts and 500 minutes talk time. I'm really impressed with the F700. I love the qwerty keypad, which is easily adaptable so long as you are used to using a computer, the phone is quite bulky but I previously had a blackberry so it wasn't a huge difference. I havenít experienced any problems, which have been described on here, such as slow response with the touch screen etc. This phone is equally as good as the iphone, if not better, I recommend it to anyone.
